Current Groups

  • Book Clubs (2 active groups)

Our Pheasant Run book clubs bring neighbors together through lively conversation, shared stories, and a love of reading. What began as a single group has grown into multiple active clubs, each meeting regularly in residents’ homes or local cafés. Every group chooses its own reading list and discussion style, creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for both seasoned readers and those just rediscovering the joy of books.

Interest continues to grow, and new groups are formed as space allows. Whether you enjoy contemporary fiction, memoirs, mysteries, or simply good company, there’s a place for you in our community of readers.

  • Ladies Lunch (3 active groups)

Our Ladies’ Lunches are one of Pheasant Run’s long-time traditions, offering a relaxed and friendly way for neighbors to connect. Each month, residents gather at a local restaurant chosen by the group, enjoying good food, easy conversation, and the chance to get to know one another beyond day‑to‑day routines. The atmosphere is always welcoming – whether you’re new to the community or a long-time resident, you’ll find friendly faces and great company. Attendance is flexible, and each lunch brings a slightly different mix of neighbors, making it a simple, low‑pressure way to stay engaged.

  • Gardening Group

Our new Gardening Group brings together neighbors who enjoy adding color, care, and creativity to the community. Formed in partnership with the Landscape Committee, the group focuses on light, enjoyable tasks—planting annuals, refreshing flower beds, and helping keep shared spaces looking their best throughout the warmer months. It’s a relaxed, hands‑on way to spend time outdoors while connecting with fellow residents.

The group is intentionally small and friendly in its first year, making it easy for newcomers to join in at whatever level feels comfortable. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious about learning, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to contribute.

  • Sheepshead (1 active group)

Our Sheepshead group brings together neighbors who enjoy a good game, good company, and a bit of friendly strategy. Meeting every other Tuesday in a resident’s home, the group offers a relaxed, welcoming setting for players of all experience levels. Some come for the competition, others for the camaraderie, and everyone leaves having shared a fun evening with familiar faces. The atmosphere is lighthearted and social, making it easy for new participants to join in and learn the rhythm of the game.

Seasonal Groups

  • Advent Moments

  • Holiday Cookie Exchange

Our annual Holiday Cookie Exchanges bring a little extra sweetness to the season at Pheasant Run. Each December, neighbors gather with plates of homemade treats – family favorites, new recipes, and everything in between – to share, sample, and swap. The atmosphere is festive and relaxed, filled with laughter, holiday cheer, and the simple joy of connecting with friends during the busiest time of year.

Participants go home with a beautiful assortment of cookies and bars, along with the recipes that make them special. Whether you’re an experienced baker or someone who enjoys the tradition more than the baking, everyone is welcome.
